Ryan Lambrecht went 2-5, helping the Regina Red Sox (20-12) to a 2-1 victory over the Weyburn Beavers (17-21) on Friday at Tom Laing Park.
He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.Michael Garcia picked up the win for the Regina Red Sox. Garcia pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four.
The Regina Red Sox had no answer for Hunter Tipton, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Tipton gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.
Logan Lund was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
