Early lead not enough for the Brooks Bombers, drop 6-2 decision to the Okotoks Dawgs

The Brooks Bombers (5-18) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-2 to the Okotoks Dawgs (17-8) on Friday.

The Okotoks Dawgs took the lead in the seventh inning on a solo home run by JT Patterson.

Patterson racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He doubled in the fifth inning, homered in the seventh inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Despite the loss, the Brooks Bombers' Larry Romero dominated the Okotoks Dawgs' batters, giving up three runs and striking out five.

Anthony Baldaras improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered two hits.

Juan Carreon (0-4) took the loss for the Brooks Bombers. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
