The Lafayette Aviators (21-23) built an early edge on Tuesday, but the Champion City Kings (17-26) roared back to steal a 6-4 victory at Davidson Stadium.

While the Lafayette Aviators led until the fourth inning, the Champion City Kings worked their way back and took the lead.

Aaron Bond racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Champion City Kings. He singled in the fourth innings.

Austin Marchant pitched lights out for the Champion City Kings. Marchant held the Lafayette Aviators hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Shawn Larner improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Champion City Kings. Larner struck out none, walked one and gave up one hit.

Jacob Preston (0-1) took the loss for the Lafayette Aviators. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
