Early lead gives the Liberal BeeJays easy victory over the Colorado Cyclones, 11-1

The Liberal BeeJays (5-1) shut the door early on the Colorado Cyclones (3-2), capturing an 11-1 victory on Thursday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed the Liberal BeeJays to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Brent Williams, an RBI double by Brady Cox, and an RBI single by Brody Miller in the first inning and a groundout by Gavin Wehby, a single by Madison Foster, , a single by Cox, a two-run single by Cox, and a double by Miller during the second inning fueled the Liberal BeeJays' offense early.

Cox had two extra-base hits for the Liberal BeeJays.

Tyler Wiendenfeld brought the heat against the Colorado Cyclones during his outing. Wiendenfeld gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Greg Gausden ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.

The Liberal BeeJays' Wehby, Foster, Miller and Cox combined for 10 hits and nine RBIs.
