The Okotoks Dawgs (5-8) and the Swift Current Indians (2-8) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Okotoks Dawgs that eventually took advantage of them in a 4-2 win at Mitchell Field.

The fact that the Okotoks Dawgs grouped all of their runs into the ninth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Jean Acevedo handled the Swift Current Indians' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Acevedo allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over five innings.

Jose Rojas put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Swift Current Indians. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

Trevor Swaney got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Ryan Benitez (0-1) took the loss for the Swift Current Indians. He lasted just 8 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
