Gage West went 2-3 and hit a home run as the Amsterdam Mohawks (23-6) took home a 4-0 victory over the Albany Dutchmen (11-15) at Shuttleworth Park on Tuesday.
He singled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.Jake Mielock brought the heat against the Albany Dutchmen during his outing. The Albany Dutchmen managed just two hits off of the the Amsterdam Mohawks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.
Brandon Nylin (0-2) took the loss for the Albany Dutchmen. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
