George Lund kept the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (17-23) off the board during his six innings of work and the Bristol Blues (25-18) beat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, 5-2.

Lund allowed four hits, one walk and struck out three.

Davis Strong rocked the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs with two home runs. Strong went 2-3 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Strong homered in the first and seventh innings.

A bright spot for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs in the defeat was Charlie Murray, who allowed only one run while striking out six.

David Griffin couldn't get it done on the hill for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
