The Evansville Otters (47-41) took down the Washington Wild Things (38-50) 11-2 on Friday at CONSOL Energy Park after slamming the Washington Wild Things with seven runs in the first inning.
The Evansville Otters scored in the first on a two-run single by Nik Balog, a three-run home run by Josh Allen, and a two-run single by Rolando Gomez.
Allen racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Evansville Otters.
Blaine Howell got the win for the Evansville Otters thanks to 11 strikeouts. Howell allowed two earned runs, five hits and three walks over six innings.
Ernesto Zaragoza (6-7) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.
