Mason Snyder went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping the Joliet Slammers (31-44) to a 6-5 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (28-46) on Thursday at GCS Ballpark.

He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Craig Massoni reached base three times in the game for the Gateway Grizzlies. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Kevin McNorton improved to 6-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Joliet Slammers. McNorton struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Jordan Wellander was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
