McKenna leads the Normal CornBelters to 24-10 win over the Rockford Aviators

A superb effort by Patrick McKenna hoisted the Normal CornBelters (36-30) to a 24-10 win over the Rockford Aviators (38-27) on Sunday at Aviator Stadium.

McKenna racked up nine RBIs on three hits for the Normal CornBelters. He homered in the fourth, sixth, and ninth innings.

Anthony Renteria racked up seven RBIs on two hits for the Rockford Aviators. He homered in the second and fifth innings.

The two teams combined for 34 runs and 34 hits, including zero extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using 10 pitchers in total.

The Normal CornBelters blew out the Rockford Aviators thanks to 25 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Normal CornBelters scored six runs in the ninth on the Normal CornBelters scored in the ninth on a two-run single by Aaron Dudley, a solo home run by McKenna, an RBI double by Sam Judah, a groundout by Ozney Guillen, and a solo home run by Cameron Monger.
