Daniel Poma knocked in three runs as the Washington Wild Things (16-24) took home a 5-2 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (15-22) at CONSOL Energy Park on Tuesday.

He homered in the ninth inning.

Luke Wilkins allowed no earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Anderson Hidalgo went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Matt Purnell recorded his first win of the year for the Washington Wild Things. Purnell struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Trevor Longfellow ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
