David Thompson collected four hits, sparking the Orleans Firebirds (24-18) to a 12-7 victory over the Chatham Anglers (17-26) on Monday at Eldredge Park.
He singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.Cody Moffett put together a nice outing. The Chatham Anglers managed just one hit off of Moffett, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.
Ty Moore had a hot bat for the Chatham Anglers. Moore went 4-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.
Sam Moore recorded his second win of the year for the Orleans Firebirds. He allowed one run over two innings. Moore struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.
Max Tishman (2-4) took the loss for the Chatham Anglers. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
