Cutter Runte went 2-4 as the Yorkton Cardinals (10-16) took home an 8-4 victory over the Weyburn Beavers (11-17) in seven innings at Tom Laing Park on Friday.
He doubled in the third innings and singled in the fifth inning.Max Chadsey got the win, running his season record to 1-3. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out eight, walked two and surrendered six hits.
Ryan Johnson (3-2) took the loss for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked one and struck out four.
