The Douglas need walk-off single to beat the Skagit Valley, 7-6

A walk-off single from Jared Frew brought home the winning run for the Douglas (17-16) in a 7-6 victory over the Skagit Valley (17-23) in 11 innings at Triton Field on Saturday.

Frew reached base three times in the game for the Douglas. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the eleventh inning.

Colby Rossi racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Douglas. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.

The Skagit Valley had no answer for Eric Kahl, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Skagit Valley managed just one hit off of Kahl, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

KYLER HOWELL (0-1) took the loss for the Skagit Valley. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
