The Auburn Wildcats built an early lead against the Atwater Aviators (17-27), scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 7-6 win on Saturday at Fireman's Memorial Ballpark.

The Auburn Wildcats scored in the first on a groundout by Andrew Wilson, an RBI single by David Cambell, and an RBI single by Kris Simontin.

Cambell reached base four times. He scored three runs and had one RBI.

Zach Sara picked up the win for the Auburn Wildcats. Sara pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out five.

Rhet Montana led the Atwater Aviators' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Jonathan Townsend couldn't get it done on the mound for the Atwater Aviators, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
