Saturday was a great day for Josh Ludy, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the River City Rascals (23-15) to a 9-2 victory over the Florence Freedom (16-20) at UC Health Stadium in seven innings.

The River City Rascals blew out the Florence Freedom thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run home run by Johnny Morales delivered the runs in the fourth. The River City Rascals had two hits in the inning.

The Florence Freedom had no answer for Tommy Mendoza, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Florence Freedom managed just two hits off of Mendoza, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.

The Florence Freedom were led by Ben Kline's hitting. Kline went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the seventh inning.

Brent Choban (0-2) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He allowed eight runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.

The River City Rascals were sparked by Morales and Ludy, who teamed up for six hits and seven RBIs.
