The Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (9-12) and the Weyburn Beavers (6-14) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets that eventually took advantage of them in an 8-4 win at Cairns Field, Saskatoon, SK.

Landon Briscoe boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

The Weyburn Beavers couldn't get anything going so long as Tatum Hendrix was on the hill. Hendrix held the Weyburn Beavers hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

The Weyburn Beavers' Chaz Russo was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the fifth inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Dalton England improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. England struck out one, walked five and gave up eight hits.

Sean Stanislawski couldn't get it done on the mound for the Weyburn Beavers, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out four.
