Steve Thompson held the Medicine Hat Mavericks (14-9) scoreless for six innings to boost the Swift Current Indians (12-9) to a 4-2 victory.

Thompson allowed five hits, three walks and struck out six.

The Swift Current Indians got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Medicine Hat Mavericks. The Swift Current Indians scored in the first on a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, and an RBI single by Liam Goodall.

Hunter Owen racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Swift Current Indians.

Ryan Chen was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
