The Weyburn Beavers (5-6) jumped out to an early lead on the Moose Jaw Miller Express (8-6) and captured a 15-2 victory on Sunday at Tom Laing Park.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Weyburn Beavers left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A solo home run by Scott Fabre during the first inning and a solo home run by Blake Kauer and a two-run home run by Kauer in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Weyburn Beavers.

Fabre racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Weyburn Beavers.

Ryan Johnson picked up the win for the Weyburn Beavers. Johnson pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out two.

Rusty Edwards (0-2) took the loss for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out three.
