A superb effort by Homero Ortiz led the Melville Millionaires (23-16) to a 5-0 win in seven innings over the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (15-22) on Monday at Cairns Field, Saskatoon, SK.

The Melville Millionaires' Ortiz kept the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up seven.

Ben Villafuerte racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Melville Millionaires. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Steven Latos (1-5) took the loss for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
