Graham Ramos had two extra base hits, sparking the Ballantyne Smokies (9-5) to a 5-3 victory in seven innings over the Morganton Aggies (6-3) on Friday at Ardrey Kell HS.
He tripled in the first inning and homered in the third innings.Kevin Price had a hot bat for the Morganton Aggies. Price went 2-2 and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Stephen Vaughan got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He allowed three runs over four innings. Vaughan struck out five, walked two and gave up three hits.
Jake Watts (0-1) took the loss for the Morganton Aggies. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
The Ballantyne Smokies were sparked by Ramos and Tyler Chadwick, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.
