Michael Brettell came to Central Michigan from Canada for his first season of collegiate baseball. The six-foot-three right-hander has appeared in nine games for the Chippewas, including five starts. Brettell is 0-1 with a 6.48 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched.


The Ontario native has earned plenty of accolades before heading to Mount Pleasant including being selected to the Canadian Junior National team. Brettell is expected to contribute to the Growlers rotation in 2016.
