Brown served as a primary starter for Division III Gettysburg in 2015. Following seven starts and one bullpen outing, the right-hander recorded a 4-1 record with a 2.30 ERA in 43.0 innings of work. 

He competed as a pitcher and third baseman at Marriotts Ridge H.S. under head coach Paul Eckert while serving as a team captain. His uncle, Bobby Brown, competed as a pitcher and outfielder at Philadelphia University.
