2015 will mark Chavarria's first season with the Grizzlies. The right-handed hitting infielder played in 12 games for the Normal CornBelters in 2014 after finishing his collegiate career at Florida Tech University.


The Saint Cloud, FL native hit .267 with one double and five runs batted in while with the CornBelters. At Florida Tech, Chavarria played and started all 47 games for the Panthers at shortstop his senior season. For his career, Chavarria played in 93 games with a .282 average. He also tallied 34 extra-base hits and 52 career RBI's. The 23 year-old also shined defensively, earning ABCA/Rawlings First Team Golden Glove honors in 2014.


Chavarria also spent two seasons at Northwest Florida St. College prior to joining Flordia Tech. The 23 year-old signed with the Grizzlies on May 8, 2015.
