HIGH SCHOOL ( 2014):  Tyler played for Timberline HS in Lacey WA.  During his senior year he pitched 21.1 innings in 12 games posting a 0.66 ERA.  When Tyler wasn’t pitching, he played third base, short stop or first base. Timberline made two state appearances and Tyler was selected to the Narrows 3A All-League team three years.  Tyler was also a three year varsity letterman in basketball with one state appearance.

PERSONAL:  Tyler’s mother and stepfather are Dana and Chris Hanson.  He has one sibling, TJ Gartner.  Tyler’s father lost his battle with brain cancer but not before he instilled in Tyler the importance of “all out all the time” and sportsmanship.  When Tyler isn’t playing baseball, he enjoys riding dirt bikes, playing basketball and socializing with friends.  Tyler will be a freshman at Olympic College in the fall.
