-Signed as an undrafted free agent with the Toronto Blue Jays in August of 2006. Made his pro debuit with the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays in 2007, hitting .174 with one homer and 12 RBIs in 48 games and spent 2008 with the GCL Blue Jays, hitting .307 with three homers and 26 RBIs.
-Was called up to the single-A Lansing Lugnuts in 2009, hitting .263 with eight homers and 54 RBIs, but struck out 119 times. In 2010, Fuenmayor was with Lansing again, hitting .220 with nine homers and 46 RBIs, but struck out 123 times compared to 20 walks.
-In 2011, he started the season with the Lansing Lugnuts, hitting .287 with 11 RBIs in 29 games before being sent to the single-A Vancouver Canadians. Played in 61 games in Vancouver, holding a .234 batting average with six homers and 29 RBIs to go along with 20 doubles. In 2012, Fuenmayor spent the entire season in Vancouver, posting a .282 batting average with nine homers and 52 RBIs.
-In 2013, Fuenmayor began the season with the Lugnuts, appearing in 26 games with a .208 average, four homers and 17 RBIs.
