Peters will be forever remembered by Slammers fans for his dramatic walk-off home run to beat the River City Rascals in game three of the Frontier League Championship Series. The Slammers acquired Peters on August 12, 2011 in a sign and trade deal. Joliet signed outfielder Jett Hart and traded him to Gateway for Peters. In 2010, Peters sported a rather impressive stat-line at the plate, batting .301 with 10 HR and 34 RBI. Peters accumulated 23 HR and 95 RBIs in 148 games while hitting at a .296 clip in his three years with Gateway. The California Baptist University product has also played every position but P, C, and 1B in his professional career.
