  • 2018 will be Scott's first with the Skeeters, first in the Atlantic League and 15th in professional baseball 

  • A veteran of nine MLB seasons, Scott last appeared at the professional level with Triple-A Buffalo (Toronto Blue Jays) in 2015

  • Scott was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the ninth round of the 2001 MLB Draft out of Oklahoma State and was traded to the Houston Astros in March 2004

  • Made his MLB debut with the Astros in 2005 and appeared in an at least 60 MLB games from 2006-13 -- also making appearances with the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays 

  • Appeared in 125-plus games per season with the Astros and Orioles from 2007-10

  • Career .258 hitter with 135 home runs and 436 RBIs in 889 games (2,810 ABs)

  • Became the first Astros rookie to hit for the cycle, doing so on July 28, 2006 

  • Went 0-for-2 with a run scored in three plate appearances for the Astros during the 2005 National League Division Series 

  • Had three straight seasons of 20-plus home runs (2008-10), including a career-high 27 in 2010 with the Orioles

  • Led the Orioles in home runs in 2009 (25) and '10 (27) 

  • Was voted American League Player of the Week on three different occasions between 2008-10 while with the Orioles

  • Last appeared in the majors in 2013 with the Rays

  • Career MLB stats: 370 R, 725 H, 181 2B, 21 3B, 135 HR, 436 RBI, .258 AVG/.340 OBP/.481 SLG 

  • Played for the SK Wyverns of the Korean Baseball Championship and Pericos de Puebla of the Mexican League before signing with the Blue Jays in 2015
