Kyle Mora will be joining the Gulls this summer coming all the way from the University of California Los Angeles where he just finished up his freshman season. In his first outing with the Bruins, Mora pitched 1.2 innings giving up 1 hit and 1 walk and striking out 1. On the season, Mora pitched 5.2 innings giving up 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2 and holding batters to a .227 average.

Mora attended Los Alamitos High School in California where he was ranked 92nd in the 2016 Perfect Game USA Top High School Prospects in the state of California. As a junior, Mora pitched 43.2 innings and finished with a 1.60 ERA. Former Gull and current Bruin teammate Garrett Barker described Mora as a “strong competitor and a good pitcher and teammate who learned a lot his freshman year from head coach John Savage.”
