The Burlington Twins (5-9) outlasted the Guelph Royals (8-9) on Thursday after seven lead changes, squeaking out a 9-7 win at Nelson Park.

Branson Joseph put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Burlington Twins. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Steve Coates racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Guelph Royals. He singled in the second and third innings and homered in the seventh inning.

Alex Gale recorded his second win of the year for the Burlington Twins. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Gale struck out none, walked one and gave up one hit.

Chris Nagorski was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.

The Burlington Twins were sparked by Darryl Pui and Joseph, who teamed up for four hits and six RBIs.
