The Brantford Red Sox (11-3) pounded the Guelph Royals (8-8) on Wednesday 7-1 at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

The Brantford Red Sox scored three runs in the fifth on a two-run triple by Jason Gotwalt and an RBI single by Terrell Alliman.

Steve Lewis racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brantford Red Sox. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Brian Sikorski pitched lights out for the Brantford Red Sox. The Guelph Royals managed just two hits off of Sikorski, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Andrew Vant Wout was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out two.
