The Toronto Maple Leafs (5-9) and the London Majors (7-5) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Toronto Maple Leafs that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-5 win at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.

The Toronto Maple Leafs staved off the London Majors as the London Majors were unable to match the Toronto Maple Leafs down the stretch.

The London Majors scored on an RBI triple by Cleveland Brownlee in the seventh inning and a two-run home run by Brownlee in the ninth inning. Despite their efforts, the London Majors couldn't finish the comeback.

Branfy Arias racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning.

The Toronto Maple Leafs relied on Marek Deska to eat up innings en route to the win. Deska allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out five over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Jordi Amargos (3-1) took the loss for the London Majors. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked five and struck out two.
