Tucker Tubbs went 2-2 as the Hamilton Joes (3-1) took home a 7-2 victory over the Ohio Wardawgs (0-1) at Foundation Field on Tuesday.
He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.The Ohio Wardawgs couldn't get anything going as long as Cameron Pongs was on the mound. The Ohio Wardawgs managed just one hit off of Pongs, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his four innings of work.
Brandon Horth got the win for the Hamilton Joes. He tossed three innings of shutout ball. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Matt Brankle was charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
