The Hamilton Joes (1-1) outlasted the Cheviot Patriots (0-1) on Saturday after four lead changes, squeaking out a 7-4 win at Foundation Field.

Anthony Clark got on base three times in the game for the Hamilton Joes. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third inning.

Matt Marksberry brought the heat against the Cheviot Patriots during his outing. The Cheviot Patriots managed just one hit off of the the Hamilton Joes' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Michael Ricchi recorded the win for the Hamilton Joes. He allowed one run over four innings. Ricchi struck out seven, walked one and gave up four hits.

Tyler Simmons couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Cheviot Patriots, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
