The Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (50-42) didn't put up much of a fight on Friday, as the Edinburg Roadrunners (58-35) cruised to a blowout 9-3 win at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.

The Edinburg Roadrunners scored four runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Eric Bloom, an RBI double by Vincent Blue, and a two-run single by Wilmer Pino.

Tim Battle got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings.

Robert Roth got the win for the Edinburg Roadrunners thanks to four strikeouts. Roth allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over five innings.

Reymond Cruz was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out three.

Pascual Del Real, Blue and Battle helped lead the Edinburg Roadrunners. They combined for seven hits and four RBIs.
