Luis Sumoza drove in the go-ahead run to give the Edinburg Roadrunners (50-33) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Edinburg Roadrunners hung on to beat the McAllen Thunder (30-53) 5-4 on Monday.

With the Edinburg Roadrunners trailing by one in the eighth inning, Sumoza came to the plate and homered, scoring Felix Molina and Osiel Flores.

Sumoza racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Edinburg Roadrunners. He singled in the third inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and homered in the eighth inning.
