A walk-off three-run blast from Nelson Teilon brought home the winning run for the McAllen Thunder (24-40) in a 5-4 victory over the Edinburg Roadrunners (39-25) at Edinburg Stadium on Monday.
Teilon racked up three RBIs on two hits for the McAllen Thunder. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the ninth innings.
Brian Murphy allowed one earned run, five hits and five walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.
Carlos Hereaud went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Edinburg Roadrunners. He singled in the fourth and seventh innings.
Yunier Colon recorded his second win of the year for the McAllen Thunder. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Colon struck out one, walked two and gave up one hit.
Julio Castro ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
