The McAllen Thunder cough up lead, the Edinburg Roadrunners win 4-3

Things looked bleak for the Edinburg Roadrunners (28-18) when they trailed by one run in the ninth inning, but the Edinburg Roadrunners recovered thanks to a key double in the tenth inning from Pascual Del Real to pull out a 4-3 win in 10 innings over the McAllen Thunder (16-30) at Edinburg Stadium.

With the score tied at three, Del Real came to the plate and doubled, scoring Cristobal Santana.

Carlos Hereaud was hot from the plate for the Edinburg Roadrunners. Hereaud went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Osvaldo Rodriguez handled the McAllen Thunder's lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Rodriguez allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks over seven innings.

Julio Castro got the win, running his season record to 3-0. Castro struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Spencer Trygg was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
