The San Angelo Colts (33-32) and the Fort Worth Cats (36-28) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the San Angelo Colts that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-6 win at Foster Field.

The San Angelo Colts staved off the Fort Worth Cats as the Fort Worth Cats were unable to match the San Angelo Colts down the stretch.

The Fort Worth Cats scored two runs in the seventh on an error and an RBI single by Jose Ruiz. Still, the Fort Worth Cats couldn't draw even.

Cory Patton reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Mark Willinsky got his sixth win for the San Angelo Colts despite allowing six runs over 6 2/3 innings. Willinsky struck out three, walked one and gave up 10 hits.

Blake Parry couldn't get it done on the mound for the Fort Worth Cats, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
