The Fort Worth Cats (8-4) and the San Angelo Colts (8-4) traded the lead six times on Saturday, but the Fort Worth Cats ended up on top with a 6-3 win over the San Angelo Colts.

The Fort Worth Cats took the lead in the eighth inning and held on for the victory. A groundout by Jose Ruiz scored Randall Thorpe and Thorpe and gave the Fort Worth Cats the lead for good.

Ruiz racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Fort Worth Cats. He homered in the fourth inning.

Jamar Walton paced the San Angelo Colts at the plate. Walton went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Mace Thurman recorded his first win of the year for the Fort Worth Cats. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Brian Henschel (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in eight innings, walked one and struck out two.
