Tyler Pentland brought home the winning run to give the British Columbia (1-3) the lead in the sixth inning, as the British Columbia hung on to beat the New Brunswick (0-4) 3-2 on Saturday.
Thomas Bidzinski singled to start the sixth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Stefan McKee. Finally, Pentland came to the plate with the score tied at two, and reached on an error, plating Bidzinski.Landon Briscoe put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the British Columbia. He doubled in the first and sixth innings.
Marcus Drewry picked up the win for the British Columbia. Drewry allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Brett Fancis (0-1) took the loss for the New Brunswick. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
