Desilets hits and pitches the Manitoba to 4-1 victory

An impressive two-way performance from Elliot Desilets led the Manitoba (2-1) to a 4-1 win Friday over the British Columbia, as Desilets came up huge at the dish and on the mound.

The Manitoba were led by Desilets' hitting. Desilets went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fifth innings.

Desilets brought the heat against the British Columbia (0-2) during his outing. The British Columbia managed just one hit off of the the Manitoba's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his seven innings of work.

Connor Russell (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
