The Newfoundland and Labrador (0-2) had a tough outing on Friday, as the Nova Scotia (2-1) dominated in a 10-2 win in seven innings at Junior Martin-Bergeron.

A home run by Codey Shrider helped the Nova Scotia score four runs in the sixth. The Nova Scotia had three hits in the inning.

Shrider racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Nova Scotia.

Mark Baigent struck out eight, paving the way for a the Nova Scotia win. Baigent allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk over seven innings.

Michael Glynn (0-1) took the loss for the Newfoundland and Labrador. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked five and struck out two.
