The New Brunswick (0-1) didn't stand a chance on Thursday, as the Manitoba (1-1) captured a blowout 11-4 win in seven innings at Junior Stade.

The Manitoba scored four runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Brady Nichol, an RBI single by Ryan Ozunko, a two-run error, and a single by Dustin Donald.

Elliot Desilets had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Scott Beever racked up eight strikeouts in the the Manitoba win. Beever allowed one earned run, five hits and five walks over six innings.

Robert Gallant racked up two RBIs on one hit for the New Brunswick. He singled in the first inning.

Jake Keating couldn't get it done on the bump for the New Brunswick, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
