The Quebec Capitales (41-20) jumped out to an early lead on the Newark Bears (18-44) and captured a 13-7 victory on Thursday at Stade Municipal.

With eight runs in the first three innings, the Quebec Capitales left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run home run by Jonathan Malo in the first inning and a groundout by Patrick DAoust, an RBI single by Josh Colafemina, , a two-run single by Josue Peley, and a sacrifice fly by Steve Brown during the second inning helped the Quebec Capitales put some runs on the board early.

Malo racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Quebec Capitales.

Danny Santiesteban racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Newark Bears. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Bryan Rembisz recorded his seventh win of the year for the Quebec Capitales. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Mike Ness (6-2) took the loss for the Newark Bears. He allowed 11 runs in five innings, walked three and struck out one.
