The Newark survive the Rockland 6-4 thanks to Lane's late-game heroics

Bryce Lane drove in the go-ahead run to give the Newark (4-2) the lead in the ninth inning, as the Newark hung on to beat the Rockland (2-4) 6-4 on Wednesday.

Juan Martinez singled to start the ninth. He then went from first to second on a single by Daryle Ward. Finally, Lane came to the plate with the score tied at four in the ninth inning, and, plating Martinez.

Lane did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Newark , reaching base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings.
