The Rockland (2-4) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 7-3 to the Quebec (3-2) on Thursday.
While the Rockland led until the sixth inning, the Quebec worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Josue Peley.
Sebastien Boucher had two extra-base hits for the Quebec . He doubled in the first and fourth innings and singled in the sixth inning.
Matt Nandin racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Rockland . He homered in the third inning.
Jeff Duda improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Quebec . He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Bobby Blevins was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
In the bottom of the first, the Quebec took the early lead as they scored one run on two hits. After Boucher doubled, the Quebec kept the pressure on the Rockland pitching, as Rene Leveret singled, plating Boucher.
The Quebec went up for good in the sixth, scoring three runs on a passed ball, a sacrifice fly by Jeff Helps, and an RBI single by Peley.
The Quebec piled on two more runs in the bottom of the eighth. A single by Jonathan Malo ignited the offense,, scoring Robert Wagner. That was followed up by that scored Helps.
