Jermy Acey collected three hits as the El Paso Diablos (31-37) took home a 3-1 victory over the Grand Prairie AirHogs (41-30) at Cohen Stadium on Thursday.
He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.The El Paso Diablos relied on Scott Hodsdon to eat up innings en route to the win. Hodsdon allowed one earned run, six hits and four walks while striking out three over nine innings of work.
The Grand Prairie AirHogs were led by a flawless day at the dish by Keanon Simon, who went 3-3 against the El Paso Diablos' pitching. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.
Josh Strawn (6-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
