Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Sioux Falls Pheasants (30-36) outscored the Winnipeg Goldeyes (38-28) 15-9.

The two teams combined for 35 hits in the game.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants turned the win into a rout with six runs in the second.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with five lead changes.

Cesar Nicolas got on base three times in the game for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Barry Fowler got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Craig James was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants hammered the Winnipeg Goldeyes pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 15 hits, 13 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
