JJ Muse drove in the go-ahead run to give the El Paso Diablos (26-36) the lead in the sixth inning, as the El Paso Diablos hung on to beat the Grand Prairie AirHogs (40-25) 8-6 on Thursday.
After Patrick Arlis singled, Muse came to the plate with the score tied at six, and doubled, bringing home Arlis.Welington Dotel got a hit in each of his four at bats. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and seventh innings.
Ramon Garcia looked sharp on the mound. Garcia held the Grand Prairie AirHogs hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
Andres Rodriguez had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and third innings.
Nick DeBarr (10-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.
